Forum Achieves AA Rating in the New BRC Food Packaging Standard
The British Retail Consortium are now audting Food Packaging companies to a new higher standard. Forum are delighted to announce that its factory acheived the highest AA rating for a Food Packaging business audited to this new standard in October.
“To achieve an AA rating against the newly introduced standard is an outstanding achievement by everyone at Forum Packaging” said Managing Director Mark Spivey. He went on to say “Adapting to a new higher standard always brings challenges and whilst we are confident in how we work it’s always a great endorsement to get this way of working signed off by an internationally recognised audit body”.
BRC has been setting the standard for hygiene and practices in the Food and Food Packaging industry for many years. The new standard now focuses on how companies deal with challenges, are their reporting and investigational skills competent, and how they drill down to solve problems using Root Cause Analysis. This is in addition to the usual assessments on cleanliness, organisation, record keeping and good manufacturing practices.
“Our existing customers will be very pleased to see that Forum Packaging has once again met the highest standards possible for a Food Packaging company and we look forward to all the new opportunities that an AA BRC standard will bring to us in the future” said Commercial Director Rob Massey.
" We are proud of our team at Forum Packaging for their commitment and determination to help the company develop and grow. "
